When the San Diego Zoo Global wanted a commemorative coin designed, I was excited at the unique opportunity. The coin, hand-delivered to the Giant Panda conservation officials in China by the SDZ CEO helped to show appreciation for a long-term, Chinese/San Diego Zoo friendship. That relationship resulted in, among other things, removing the beautiful giant panda from the endangered species list. It is tiny but favorite project. Another gift was hand-delivered to the same Chinese officials shortly thereafter. That book, designed by SRD, can be seen here:
